Discover Lopemede Farm on a Guided Walk

Join us for a unique and enriching day out at Lopemede Farm, nestled just outside the vibrant market town of Thame. Led by a member of the Lopemede team, our guided farm walk offers an inspiring insight into our regenerative farming practices and sustainable food systems, exploring the farms thirty year strategy of nature restoration and nature connection, to help the global biodiversity and mental health crisis.

Breathe in the fresh countryside air as you explore our working farm, surrounded by the scenic beauty of Oxfordshire. Our journey begins with an introduction to Lopemede—why we started, what we stand for, where we are heading towards, and how we’re working to restore soil health, improve biodiversity, and support climate-resilient agriculture.

As we walk, you’ll visit key areas of the farm including our diverse specie rich meadows, a wetland creation site along the river Thame, our 1 acre market  gardens, agroforestry, wood pasture, heritage wheat, our bee hives, wildlife cameras and not forgetting our Wagyu cows and sheep. You’ll learn about the agroecological methods we use, from crop rotation and cover cropping to wildlife-friendly farming and low-impact livestock systems. Nature lovers will enjoy spotting the wide range of birds, insects, and native plants that thrive here, as well as the large diversity of tree species planted, that create an arboretum of rare and mature trees surround the farm in a parkland planting scheme; the farm also boasts over 80 different species of Oak trees.

There’ll be plenty of time to ask questions and connect with our passionate team, who are always keen to share their knowledge and experiences.

To round off the walk, enjoy one of Fallow and fields delicious toasties and a hot or cold drink.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear—the ground may be uneven or muddy depending on the weather. If we need to postpone due to extreme conditions, we’ll be happy to reschedule or offer a full refund.
